India sealed a historic 3-1 series win over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with Jasprit Bumrah's match-winning 9 wickets in the final Melbourne Test completing a famous victory.

Bumrah, who led the team in the absence of an injured Rohit Sharma for two Tests, was named Player of the Series for his 32 wickets at an average of 14.3.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the standout batter, scoring 714 runs in the series including three hundreds.

Captain Rohit Sharma called the series win "the best Test win in a decade, if not longer" adding "this team showed heart when it mattered most."

India's next challenge is the ICC World Test Championship final against England at The Oval in June 2025.
